1Year Ago: 2015 The combined skills of baseball players from both Kewaunee and Luxemburg-Casco players will be joined together as members of the Lakers. Coach John Bray has high hopes for a league championship. Marie Kaye, representing Casco Union High School at the recent Badger Girls State, was elect- alderman in the Second ard of the mythical Ced ar City. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Kaye and was sponsored by the Casco American egion Auxiliary. 60 Years Ago: 1956 Roger Plantico, Manitowoc, has been appointed superintendent of schools a Kewaunee.

He fills a vacancy caused by the resign ation of Supt. J.H. Griffin. Mr. Plantico had been on the school staff and Kewaunee High School since 1952, and served as principal this past year.

Harry Katch, 47, foun- der and owner of Department Store in Algoma, died at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay on onday morning. He came to Algoma in 1936. In those past almost 20 years, the Katch store has been almost entirely remodeled. It now consists of three sales floors.

75 Years Ago: 1941 For the 24th consecutive year, Secretary Julius Cahn of the Kewaunee County Fair will begin ext week to distribute the 1941Premium Book a nd post advertising for the Big Show at Luxemburg.
