Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee, is proposing a $50 billion package that would i include $20 billion in income tax rebates, $10 billion for extended unemployment benefits, BY BRIAN TUMULTY Gannett News Service $10 billion to help prevent foreclosure of primary residences and $10 billion in aid to state governments. Erlandson 70, a former resident of Green Bay, passed away at his home in Copper City, on June 8, 2008. Hikers caught one dies on BY DONNA GORDON BLANKINSHIP The Associated Press LONGMIRE, Wash. -A man on a Mount Rainier day hike died Tuesday and two companions were awaiting rescue after the group got caught in a blizzard, officials at the national park said. The three spent Monday night and early Tuesday trapped on the Muir snowfield before one of the hikers reached Camp Muir, staging area for climbers high on the volcano's flank. From there he directed rescuers to the other hikers, one of whom died at the camp.

A helicopter was standing her children when they were younger. In more recent years, Janice favorite pastime was attending the many sporting events that her grandchildren were participating in. She also enjoyed going out to dinner with friends, especially Mary and Steve Fellman. Janice is survived by: her husband, Merlin; three children, Jeffrey, Bowler, Jan, Alvin, Judy, Shawano; six grandchildren, Julie, Stormy, Destiny, Kelsey, Bryce, Allie; three great-grandchildren, Jaida, Javonn, Jaxsen; and one sister, Jeri (Gerald Popke, New London. She was born Aug. 16, 1917, in the town of Maple Grove, daughter of the late John and Catherine (O'Hearn) O'Leary. She was a graduate of Reedsville High School with the class of 1934. She married Harry O'Connell on June 2, 1938 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Maple Grove.

The couple celebrated 54 years together before Harry was called home on July 16, 1992. They farmed in the town of Maple Grove. Adeline was a member of Holy Family Parish in Brillion. She was also a member of The Friends of St. Patrick's, Brookside Homemakers, and the Altar Society of the former St.

Patrick's Church. Survivors include six sons and five daughtersin-law: Dale O'Connell, De Pere; Dean and Mary Jo O'Connell, Cecil; James and Mary Jane O'Connell, Reedsville; Harry and Sandee O'Connell, Manitowoc; John O'Connell, Manitowoc, and Margie O'Connell, Brillion; Thomas and Cindy O'Connell, Reedsville; one Senate legislation.
